Programme co-ordination
Because of the innovative and complex nature of this knowledge exchange scheme, the funders requested a co-ordination role. Sharon Chisholm and Rehema White of the University of St Andrews were appointed to facilitate the knowledge exchange processes in this Engaging Scottish Local Authorities Programme. The role of this co-ordination team is to:
- Liaise amongst award holders, with their partners and funders.
- Facilitate knowledge exchange and media relations.
- Enhance efficiency of user engagement.
- Support delivery of project outcomes.
- Work in partnership with the review team.
- Comment on implications of the programme for the future.

Glasgow partner meeting
The Coordinating Team and the Review Team co-convened a meeting of partners at Glasgow University on June 11. Expert speakers presented papers at the event and updates on all five pilot projects as well as the work of the coordinating and review teams were given. Participants were asked to contribute ideas all through the day on topics that were outlined on posters around the meeting room. During the afternoon, a one hour session was held to have small groups discuss their experience, tools that proved to be successful and how they were beginning to build impact.
