Science Summer Schools

We run two courses between July and August aimed at high school students in their penultimate or final year of study who would like to study on undergraduate degree programmes in the UK or US.

The courses are a collaboration between ELT and the Schools of Physics & Astronomy, Chemistry, and Computer Science, and are designed to introduce students to the University of St Andrews, and give them an opportunity to take part in an exciting variety of classroom and laboratory-based activities.

Teacher Education Programme

ELT combines high level language courses between July and August with specialised methodology courses for English language teachers as part of its summer school programme.

Courses can be tailored to meet closed groups' needs, whereas individual teachers on open courses have a choice of specialist options, such as teaching Business English, English for Academic Purposes, CLIL or Teaching Young Learners, combined with language improvement classes.
