4-week accommodation
Students on the 4-week course can apply for accommodation in St Regulus Hall of Residence for the duration of the Pre-sessional. Unfortunately, there are no other residential accommodation options available for this course.
St Regulus Hall
St Regulus Hall was originally built in 1880's as a hotel, and was extended in the 1950's after being acquired by the University. The Hall benefits from its history and old-fashioned charm, and is conveniently located in the centre of town, less than 15 minutes' walk from ELT.
The 4-week course accommodation package is catered and fees include 14 meals per week (breakfast and dinner on weekdays, breakfast and lunch on weekends).
Students whose families plan to accompany them to St Andrews must make arrangements directly with the Student Accommodation Services (SAS).
Go to the SAS website where you will find information on:
- how to apply
- residence facilities
- accommodation options for married couples and families.
When you fill in the application, you must ensure that you check the box for 4-week Pre-sessional course. Please note that applicants who will go on to study on an undergraduate degree programme may be asked to share a room for the duration of the pre-sessional.
Private accommodation
If you do not want to accept the offer of residential accommodation, please be aware that you are responsible for finding accommodation for the duration of the course. Unfortunately, ELT cannot assist you in finding private accommodation.
St Andrews is very busy during the summer months, and it may be difficult to find an affordable private room or flat.
If you decide that you would prefer to arrange private accommodation for yourself or your family, we recommend that you refer to the University's house hunting advice.
