Pre-arrival

In the months before you are due to begin your studies, we will contact you by email with important information about tasks you need to complete online. The email will contain specific information which you will need in order to complete the tasks.

Your pre-arrival tasks include:

  1. activating your University of St Andrews email account
  2. applying for your student idenitity (ID) card
  3. enroling in our online learning (Moodle) site
  4. completing online matriculation (registration).

You will not be able to complete any of these tasks until you receive our first pre-arrival email which contains your unique University email account username.

When you have completed step 1 (activate your email account), you will then be able to log in to other systems to complete steps 2 - 4.

To do now:

  1. Check your email account regularly and inform us of any changes to your contact details
  2. If you are a conditional offer-holder, inform us soon as you meet the conditions of your offer so that we can assist you in applying for your visa
  3. Pay your desposit (and the balance of your fees if you have already received your visa)
  4. Send us your completed Airport Transfer form if you have booked your flights.

We will confirm by email when your taxi has been booked, and when we have received notice of your accommodation allocation.

If you used the address of an educational agent or representative, contact them to ensure you get the information you need to start your tasks.
