Language requirements

The following grades are acceptable for proficiency in English:

  • GCSE, O Levels or IGCSE at Grade B or B3 in English
  • AS Level (ASL2) a Grade of B or B3 in English
  • European Baccalaureate – 6.5 in English in the final examinations

IB Language syllabus A1 at either HL or SL Grade 5
IB Language syllabus A2 at either HL or SL Grade 5

For second language users
IB Language syllabus B at HL Grade 5
IB Language syllabus B at SL Grade 7

Faculty of Science

For first language users
IB Language syllabus A1 at either HL or SL Grade 4
IB Language syllabus A2 at either HL or SL Grade 4

For second language users

Pearson PTE (Academic)

Faculty of Arts 69 with at least 59 in each component
Faculty of Science 60 with at least 59 in each component

Chile PSU grade of 650+ in English
France French Baccalaureate (OIB) - 14 in English in year 6
Singapore SIPCAL grade of B+ in English 4 Language
South Africa If not taught in fully in English then the NSC in English with a grade of A
Sri Lanka GCE (Ordinary Level) in English with a grade of Distinction (A, 75%-100%)
