| About |
I obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics with high distinction from the University of Balamand in 2010. At Balamand, I tutored many courses in econometrics and applied econometrics. In 2011, I graduated with an MSc in Finance from the University of St Andrews with distinction on my dissertation "The Choice and Terms of Earnouts: what can we infer from the target profitability?" My work is mainly focused on the theoretical/empirical analysis of mergers and acquisitions in the U.K. Mainly, I rely on recent theoretical and econometric contributions in order to analyse the emergence of different risk management procedures used to ensure the success of merger deals. I also study the impact of these procedures on the acquirer and the target's shareholders returns. In addition to my research work, I am highly interested in the history of economic thought and the methodological aspects of the Austrian School of Economics. Specifically, I try to tackle questions related to the evolution of law from a game-theoretic perspective, the theoretical and practical challenges preventing the establishment of anarcho-capitalistic societies and the different ramifications of Hayek's Business Cycle Theory. I play a little bit of chess and I am the worst golfer you can ever meet. |
