About

Peter Robson graduated in Economics from the University of London (UCL). On graduation, he joined the staff at University College, and later taught at the Universities of Belfast and Cambridge, before becoming Economic Adviser to the Uganda Government. Subsequently he served as Professor of Economics at the University of Nairobi , until his appointment to the Chair of Economics at St Andrews. He has held visiting appointments in academic and international institutions in Europe and America. He is a past Editor of the Journal of Common Market Studies.


Research Interests

Research interests centre on the economics of development, and on theoretical and policy issues of international economic integration in Africa, the European Union, and North America.
