2. Class Representatives and Class Rep Forums:
Class representatives are students that represent fellow students in matters of academia and school related issues. These issues are communicated either through the SSCCs, directly to the lecture or the Director of Teaching, or through the School President.Class Representatives are expected to attend all Class Rep Forums and SSCCs. Class Rep Forums will normally take place twice a semester prior to SSCCs. Class reps will be able to raise any issues they feel appropriate at this forum, and anything discussed should remain confidential. Unresolved issues will be raised at the SSCC for further discussion.
Furthermore, certain responsibilities will be delegated to the class reps at the first class rep forum of the year. A complete list of all class reps and office holders, and their contact details, can be found below.
Further information about class representatives can be found at: http://www.yourunion.net/studentvoice/content/14833/class_reps/
3. School President:
School Presidents are a brand new and shiny initiative from the Students' Association this year. The role of the School President is to make representations on behalf of the students within their School to the University. The broad aim of the School president system is to improve communications and cooperation between students and staff, for the mutual benefit of both.
The School presidents will act as a link between the student sabbatical officers of the Students' Association and the class reps. The School president is, amongst others, responsible for organising and hosting SSCCs and Class Rep Forums, attend all President Forums, and regularly communicate issues to the DoT on behalf of students.
