St Andrews Professor shares platform with Nobel Prizewinner Professor Robert Solow
David Ulph (St Andrews) has been invited to speak at the 2010 American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Annual Meeting, 18-22 February in San Diego. He is one of three speakers in the symposium "Scientific Rationality and Policy-Making: Making Their Marriage Work". He will talk on "Growth-Driving Science and Technology as a Deus Ex Machina of Policy Making".Robert Solow (MIT) will talk on "Addressing Authority: Complex Causality and the Path from Social Science to Policy"
The third speaker will be Myrsini Zorba (Greece) whose topic is "Values, Preferences, and the Marriage of Scientific Rationality and Policy-Making"
