Community Building

For many of you, this will be the first time that you have lived away from home. For this reason it is important that a strong community spirit and sense of belonging is instilled between those sharing a house or apartment. This is especially important to help fill the gap normally occupied by family and friends back home. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that life in DRAFP is as enjoyable and memorable as possible, providing great memories and life long friendships.

In order to accomplish this we run various social events throughout the year and facilitate the Hall Committees to do the same.  As well as our regular Sunday Night at the Movies (8pm in the Nisbet Room), we also host Martinmas and Candlemas Ceildhs (complete with complimentary whisky and wine tasting), Halloween and Christmas Window Decoration contests, Best Snowman in Hall contests (weather permitting, so let's hope for snow!), American Superbowl Party, shopping trips to Glasgow, and much much more!  For photos of just some of the events during the previous year, please visit our Hall Announcements.

If you have any ideas for an event or activity you would like to take place in hall, please contact a member of the Wardenial Team (either your Domain Warden, the Duty Assistant Warden or the Warden); we will do our best to host a variety of events that appeals to everyone!
