Theological Interpretation of Scripture Seminar
The Theological Interpretation of Scripture seminar meets during the semester. It is an advanced seminar given to the discussion of recent advances in hermeneutical theory and the theological exegesis of biblical texts.
Typically matters of hermeneutics and methodology are considered in the first semester and matters of exegesis and history of interpretation of specific biblical text in the second semester.
The seminar usually consists of discussion of pre-agreed texts. Occasionally papers are given by seminar participants or visiting scholars.

Thursday March 15, 2012, 0930 – 1100, Senior Common Room: Michael Legaspi, Templeton Awardee. Lecture on his prize-winning The Death of Scripture and the Rise of Biblical Studies (New York-Oxford: OUP, 2010) and paper on ‘Wisdom in a modern philosophical environment.’
