Research Seminars

Table & Books

Research Seminars are normally held weekly during both semesters and research postgraduates are strongly encouraged to attend. Other postgraduate students and visiting scholars are also very welcome.

Seminars typically feature a mixed programme of visiting speakers, St Mary's faculty, colleagues from other disciplines within the University and occasionally postgraduate students delivering papers.

Our breadth of research interests is in reflected in the five distinct, but sometimes overlapping, subject areas; each with their own weekly seminar:

  • Biblical Studies - in some semesters separate Hebrew Bible/Old Testament and New Testament seminars, at other times these are combined
  • Theology, Imagination & the Arts (ITIA)
  • Religion & Politics (CSRP)
  • Scripture & Theology
  • Theology
