Surveillance & Religion Network

This international network is being developed to facilitate interaction amongst scholars, practitioners, and policy-makers who have an interest in the surveillance by and of religious communities. Positioned with the field of surveillance studies, this network takes an inter-disciplinary approach that includes, but is in no way limited to, the disciplines of theology, religious studies, ethics, philosophy, history, sociology, criminology, international relations, and information technology studies.
The more specific aims of the network are to:
:: convene occasional seminars, including online events
:: encourage research by individual scholars
:: secure funding for collaborative projects
:: contribute to informing policy-makers within religious communities and wider societies.

As a new initiate, the network is keen to make connections as widely as possible and encourages anyone with interests in this field to make contact.

Find the network's group on Facebook and on LinkedIn.

The coordinator of the network is Dr Eric Stoddart, Associate Director of the Centre for the Study of Religion & Politics, which is based at the School of Divinity, University of St Andrews, Scotland. Contact: es61@st-andrews.ac.uk. The development of the network is assisted by Jason Bosworth, a CSRP intern.
