Current Undergraduates

Bible from crest For each of our programmes the School of Divinity aims:

  • To deliver high-quality education by means of a coherent programme of study.
  • To facilitate your gaining (i) an extensive, systematic and critical knowledge of subjects studied and (ii) an ability to use your knowledge in the assessment of a wide range of concepts, ideas and data, thereby helping you to lay the foundations for a successful career and producing graduates of value to the economy in general and to a wide range of employers.
  • To enhance the skills with which you arrive and to provide you with opportunities to develop new skills, abilities, and attributes.
  • To foster the development of enquiring, open-minded and creative attitudes, tempered with scholarly discipline and social awareness, in a manner that encourages lifelong learning.
Your undergraduate week includes not only lectures and tutorials but the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities:

  • Tuesdays 1.10pm - 1.40pm Worship organised by St Mary's College Student Society.
  • Fridays 1.00pm - 2.00pm Lunch organised by St Mary's College Student Society - in the Senior Common Room.
  • Sundays 11am - 12 noon University Chapel Service in St Salvator's.
