Bursaries
A number of bursaries are made available each year within the School of Divinity. The awards are competitive, and the primary consideration is academic merit at school level and at Junior and Senior Honours.
Several of these bursaries are worth between five hundred and one thousand pounds.
Prizes
The School of Divinity is grateful to benefactors who have made it possible to award prizes to undergraduate students. These recognitions of academic achievement include:
- The Duncan Prize - in New Testament Honours.
- The Gray Prize - for the best essay overall.
- The Anderson Prize - for a 2000-level essay in either Old Testament or Hebrew.
- The McFarlane Prize - for the best 1000-level essay in Theology.
- The Hogg Prize - for a 2000-level essay in Practical Theology.
- The Wilson Prize - for the best 1000- or 2000-level essay in New Testament.
- Other prizes are often awarded.
