Biblical Languages and Literature
This programme offers students with existing competence in Biblical languages the opportunity of sustained close and critical engagement with the Biblical texts. Attention will be paid to text-critical issues, and students will become familiar with the use of critical editions of the text; the methods, sources, and norms of Biblical scholarship will also be explored closely, as will the overarching themes of the Biblical literature.
Applicants will need to be competent in both Hebrew and Greek, and will normally need at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent in Biblical Studies or a closely related discipline.
