Entrance Requirements

Each applicant will be considered on his / her merits but the normal entrance requirements for postgraduate study in the Faculty of Divinity are:

M.Litt.  -- A good degree with Honours from a U.K. university or its equivalent: USA GPA of 3.6; PR China GPA of 3.2, Upper Second class, or better.

Postgraduate Diploma or Individual Module -- A degree from a U.K. university, its equivalent or other relevant qualification.

You do not need to have a first degree (or equivalent) in theology in order to apply for a place on this programme.  However, you should bear in mind that the programmes will involve theological study at postgraduate level.  All applicants will be expected to have sufficient knowledge to equip them for this level of study in the field.

The University's Postgraduate Admissions site includes links for on-line application and for downloaded an application for posting. You are welcome to contact the School of Divinity's Distance Learning Officer in advance of submitting your application should you need any clarification about the process or the programme in general.

Applications are currently open for entry in either September 2013 or January 2014. These are considered upon receipt of all your paperwork in order that we might give you a prompt decision. Closing date for September 2013 entry is 1st July 2013; for January 2014 entry is 1st November 2013.
