Emanuel Tov PhD scholarship 2013
Tuesday 25 September 2012
The School of Divinity is pleased to be offering once again the Emanuel Tov Scholarship for a student applying to commence full-time PhD studies in the 2013-14 academic session. The scholarship is specifically for work in the field of Text Criticism in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible. The Tov scholar will be supervised by Professor Kristin De Troyer, and will provide research assistance to her.
The scholarship covers full-time tuition fees for a UK or EU student for three years (in 2013-2014 these fees are £3900 per annum) or an equivalent contribution towards overseas tuition fees for three years for a student from outside the EU. An additional stipend of £1000 per annum for three years will be paid to the successful candidate. Any candidate applying to work for a place on the School’s doctoral programme in the field will automatically be considered; no separate application process for the scholarship is required. Awards are made on academic merit. Further enquiries should be addressed to the School’s Postgraduate Secretary divinitypg@st-andrews.ac.uk
