School of Divinity maintains top ranking in Guardian league table.
Thursday 19 May 2011
In results announced this week, the School of Divinity was ranked third in the UK, and top in Scotland, by the Guardian University Guide. This is the third year running it has held this place, just behind Oxford and Cambridge.
The Guardian league table is unique in placing its emphasis on student experience and teaching quality, rather than research. It draws particularly on the results of the National Student Survey, a published survey of final year students who are asked to rate their experience of their course. It also assesses such factors as employment rates after the course and the extent to which student results surpass what would be normally expected.
