In implementing the research agenda of CRIEFF, in
terms of its declared aims and objectives, its activities will certainly include
mainstream industrial organisation, enterprise and finance, and yet should go
beyond their traditional boundaries, as this is often where the new
developments will occur.
How this agenda has been pursued is well illustrated
by the following interests (to name a few) of CRIEFF: R&D and technological
diffusion, the organisational theory of the firm, the economics of the household,
economics of healthcare, the environmental consequences of firms' activities,
micro-modelling of the firm for macroeconomic purposes, multinational firms,
the economics of the single European market, marketisation
and privatisation, voting and tax policy, pension reform, tax progressivity,
income inequality, and deregulation.
