Since the MLitt programme was started by Douglas Dunn in the early 1990s, the School of English has employed some of the UK's finest writers. Please use the links on the right to find out more about them.

As well as Creative Writing, our writers also teach academic undergraduate modules; our School is unusual in that we do not make a hard-and-fast distinction between 'academic' and 'creative', since we believe that both aspects of the School's work benefit from being in open conversation. You may also explore the writing and research undertaken by our Creative Writing postgraduates, past and present, and read and listen to examples of their own work.
