23. 11. 2012 Third Annual CMR Meeting announced
The third Annual Meeting of the Centre of Magnetic Resonance will be held in St Andrews on Monday, 10 June 2013, 9 am - 6 pm.

10. 8. 2012 Royal Society Medal for Sharon Ashbrook
Sharon Ashbrook has been awarded the Makdougall Brisbane Medal from the Royal Society of Edinburgh; we congratulate Sharon for this prestigious prize.

29. 6. 2012 Multi-user EPR grant for CMR researchers
A consortium led by Dr David Norman from Dundee was awarded the Wellcome Trust multi-user equipment grant, which will signifciantly upgrade the centre's EPR facilities.

12. 6. 2012 Second CMR Meeting held in St Andrews
With 11 plenary and invited lectures, 21 posters and more than 40 attendees, magnetic resonance presente d itself once more as a vibrant research area in St Andrews and beyond.

The efficient 17O enrichment of microporous oxides reported by Sharon Ashbrook et al. has been highlighted in the May edition of Chemistry World

12. 3. 2012 This year, the international conference on magnetic resonance, EUROMAR, will take place on the British Isles, from 29th June - 1st July in Dublin, Ireland

21. 11. 2011 It is a pleasure to welcome Dr. Bela Bode from the School of Chemistry in St Andrews as new member of the CMR. He will broaden the Centre's EPR portfolio in the area of biomacromolecules.

28. 10. 2011 It is a pleasure to welcome Prof. David O'Hagan from the School of Chemistry in St Andrews as new member of the CMR. He is a leading expert in organofluorine chemistry with a strong interest in 19F NMR spectroscopy.

16. 9. 2011 It is a pleasure to welcome Prof. Peter Heathcote from Queen Mary University London as new member of the CMR. During his sabbatical at St Andrews (2011-13) he will be active in EPR of biomacromolecules.

4. 4. 2011 Doctoral training centre (CDT-lite) announced
EPSRC has announced to install a Centre for Doctoral Training in Integrated Magnetic Resonance. This is awarded to a consortium of 6 universities, among which St Andrews is represented by Graham Smith.

21. 11. 2010 The latest issue of Magnetic Resonance in Chemistry is dedicated to quantum-chemical computation of magnetic resonance parameters and was edited by Sharon Ashbrook and Michael Bühl.

26. 10. 2010 The opening of the UK 850 MHz Solid-State NMR Facility in Warwick will be on 28th October 2010. Sharon Ashbrook is on the National Management Committee of this new facility.
