Research Interests
Although my teaching centres on Greek and Roman culture / history, my research area includes Near Eastern Studies. I am currently researching cross-cultural influences between the Near East and Greece pre 8th century BCE.
Current research projects
I am currently working on a volume 'Hesiod: Critical Essays', forthcoming publication.
I have recent academic journal articles in publication / forthcoming.

Academic career
Education
I studied Classics at King's College (University London) where I read for my MA in Classics. In 2006, I graduated from Durham University with a PhD. It was at St Mary’s College where my journey and career into Classics began – an inspiration for which I am truly grateful.
Employment
I teach Classics at St Andrews and I am an Associate Lecturer for the Open University.
