Visiting PhD StudentsBelow are brief profiles of visiting research students on the project, who have given permission for their details to be put on the website.
Jochen Schultheiss Jochen Schultheiss (then Bamberg) visited the project in summer 2006 for several months to work with the Principal Investigator and other members of the project in connection with his PhD on generational issues in Augustine's Confessions. Jochen also took part in and helped to organize the PG conference on Augustine and his reception in St Andrews on 13 November 2006. In the meantime he has completed his PhD and is now a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the University of Würzburg. He also presented a paper at a second PG conference on the reception of Augustine organized by the project at NIAS (Wassenaar, Netherlands) on 13 November 2008.
Susanne Gatzemeier Susanne Gatzemeier (Leipzig) visited the project in summer 2008 for several months to work with the Principal Investigator and other members of the project in connection with her PhD on the reception of Lucretius from the beginnings till Lactantius. She presented a paper on some results of her research at a conference organized by the project on "Normativity, Ideology and Reception" in St Andrews in August 2008.
