What we do
Welcome
Situated in Mansefield, opposite the Student's Association, the Chaplaincy is used by a variety of students and staff for quiet and reflection, for various meetings, for meeting with friends and for social activities. There is a meeting and worship place for various major faiths. It is used in particular by Christian, Muslim and Jewish societies, and has a Muslim prayer room. An Orthodox rabbi from Glasgow visits on occasion. The Chaplaincy is a place for coffee, tea and relaxation, and has a garden and barbecue.
The University Chaplain, Donald MacEwan, and his team, offer;
- a sympathetic listening and confidential ear
- someone to talk to in a crisis
- a sounding board
- hospital visits for you or someone you know
- support in emotional or spiritual issues
- space to search for meaning of life
- support when all else fails
- space for your to explore your faith or no faith (of whatever kind)
