Music, Meaning and Morality

The Centre for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs, in association with the University Music Centre presents a two-day symposium exploring the theme of the meaning of human experience in relation to moral, cultural and spiritual values as expressed in and through music.
This two-day event will include lectures by James MacMillan and by Roger Scruton, with exchanges between them and participants and musical performances including Scruton's opera The Minister and selections from MacMillan's choral works.
