The lecture will be chaired by the Principal Professor Louise Richardson and is open to the public. All are welcome.
Lord Sutherland of Houndwood: formerly, Principal Kings College London, Vice-Chancellor London University, Principal and Vice-Chancellor Edinburgh University, Provost of Gresham College, and Chief Inspector of Schools. He will be addressing the question of the nature, purpose and future of the universities.
In addition to the public lecture itself Lord Sutherland will give a seminar on the subject of 'Demography and ageing - the impact on of the nature of society':
