Booking information
Internal delivered catering bookings can be made online for a maximum of 50 people. To book for more than 50 people please contact Catering Services directly on ext. 7005 or email cateringservices@st-andrews.ac.uk.
Delivery on weekdays 08.00-18.00
- Booking notice: 72 hours (48 hours for tea / coffee orders).
- Minimum order value: £15.00 per delivery.
- Amendment notice: 72 hours (48 hours for tea / coffee orders).
- Cancellation notice: 72 hours (48 hours for tea / coffee orders).
Delivery at all other times, including weekends
- Booking notice: 7 working days
- Minimum order value: £75.00 per delivery.
- Amendment notice: 7 working days
- Cancellation notice: 7 working days
Cancellation charges
Delivery on weekdays 08.00-18.00
- Less than 72 hours' notice for food orders - the full cost will be incurred.
- 24-48 hours' notice for tea / coffee orders - 50% of the cost will be incurred.
- Less than 24 hours' notice for tea / coffee orders - the full cost will be incurred.
Delivery at all other times, including weekends
- Less than 7 working days' notice - the full cost will be incurred.
Last minute bookings
Catering Services will make every effort to accommodate last minute bookings but cannot guarantee – please contact us to discuss your request.
Service
All bookings for 50+ will be serviced by catering staff. Should you require service for bookings of less than 50 people please contact Catering Services to request. Service will be charged at £10.00 per staff member per hour (minimum charge of 1 hour applies).
Delivery
Standard delivery times are between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday - Friday. For orders outwith these times please contact Catering Services.
It is the responsibility of the customer making the booking to check that the room being used has been booked and confirmed via the appropriate channels and is one in which catering is permitted. Where possible it is advisable to book a separate room for lunch deliveries to minimise disruption to your event.
If Catering Services are unable to gain access to the delivery location the order will be either left outside the room or returned to Catering Services.
Catering Services will lay out the catering if tables are provided, otherwise this will be left for you to unpack.
Catering Services will endeavour to deliver your order 15 minutes prior to your requested time; please therefore allow for early deliveries when making your room booking.
Crockery and utensils will be delivered for the numbers booked. Any equipment which is lost or damaged will be charged for.
Storage
When your food has been delivered, please store it carefully away from direct sunlight or heat sources. It is strongly recommended your food is kept covered until required and is consumed within 2 hours of delivery.
Under no circumstances should any food items left over be removed from the premises.
Collection
Please ensure that all items are packed up and ready for collection at the end of your event. Catering Services will aim to collect all the equipment on the same day or by 09:00 the following day with the exception of weekends.
Alcohol
To comply with Licensing Regulations, if your booking includes alcoholic beverages a Compliance Form will be required. Catering Services will issue the form on receipt of your order and this must be completed and returned immediately. Failure to do so will result in Catering Services being unable to supply alcoholic beverages.
General
Whilst every effort will be made to provide the exact menu ordered, Catering Services reserves the right to substitute any product with a suitable alternative.
All events taking place after 18:00 and during weekends must provide a contact telephone number of the person on-site during the event.
Regrettably, we are unable to accept bookings during the following periods:
- Christmas Holidays
- May Day
- Graduation
- British Open Golf Championship in St Andrews
Only food provided by Catering Services should be consumed on University premises.
Catering Services reserve the right to refuse your booking and will contact you immediately is this is the case.
