Five steps to work out what careers might suit you:

4. Get networking: it is now a vital skill  in the job-hunting process.

  • Use your contacts eg family, friends or friends of friends and ask them about their jobs. If they sound interesting, ask to work shadow them.
  • Contact St Andrews graduates working in careers that interest you via the Careers Alumni Network. Get their advice and tips on how to get into the sector.
  • Use the  Networking video and Networking page to brush up your technique and build your confidence.
