Using your alumni to raise your profile
There are three ways you can use St Andrews alumni working in your organisation to raise your profile:-
Ensure that they join the University of St Andrews Careers Alumni Network, a service which allows students to email alumni directly. Benefits to you include:
- Students considering applying to your organisation can find out more about what it's like to work there, so you're more likely to get good quality applications from students with a genuine interest in your business
- Students will get first hand, accurate information about your organisation
- You'll get a presence alongside your competitors
Encourage your alumni to write a profile for our website. This could include:
- An account of what their job involves
- Details of the selection process
- Advice to students wishing to follow a similar path
- What skills/knowledge from their degree they have found helpful
Make sure that you bring your alumni to events, drop-ins and careers fairs. We've found that students particularly value the opportunity to talk to fellow St Andreans.
