Network with students and alumni
The Careers Centre encourages students and graduates to use networking, either face to face or on-line, as a major way of developing professional relationships to assist with achieving their career aspirations.
As an alumni of the University of St Andrews you can network with students in a variety of ways.
- Careers Alumni Network – Sign up to this initiative which the Careers Centre has developed. It is a database of St Andrews graduates and friends and family of the University, who are happy to offer careers information to current students.
- LinkedIn – A St Andrews graduate has set up alumni groups which have been designed to be particularly useful to students starting out on their career journey as well as a helpful resource for more experienced graduates
- Social Networking - The University of St Andrews Alumni Facebook group will keep you updated with any events or matters relating to graduates and the Careers Centre Facebook page will keep you abreast of any topical careers issues and forthcoming events.
- Share your story – students want to learn from your experiences, your mistakes as well as successes. You can complete a short questionnaire which will then be featured on our website.
- Come to the university – if you would like to visit the university as a representative of your company, for recruitment purposes, please sign up to one of our career fairs . The Careers Centre also offers the facility of organising host promotional events.
