Visiting Arché

How to Visit Arché as a Visiting Scholar

Arché welcomes applications to make research visits from scholars of excellence at all stages of the profession, especially those with active interests in our current projects. Proposed visits may be for anything from a few days to a full academic session. Applicants should be aware that while every effort will be made to provide visitors with office accommodation within the Arché buildings, priority in this regard is given to our graduate students, postdocs and stipendiary fellows, and limitations of space mean we cannot always provide for our visitors in house.

Applications forms to visit Arché are available both in Word and PDF formats. When completed, the forms should be sent, along with the requested additional documentation by email only to:

Arché accepts visitors during its two academic sessions:

  • Arché Martinmas Semester: 16th September - 23rd December
    Application deadline: 1 June
  • Arché Candlemas Semester: 31st March – 4th July
    Application deadline: 1 December

Applications to visit must be received by the above deadlines. They will be assessed by Arché Council and the applicants notified shortly after these dates.
