Arché Summer School

The first Arché Summer School will take place in St Andrews, June 30 - July 4, 2008.

The Summer School will be dedicated to contemporary issues in Arché's main research areas, language, epistemology and methodology.

Courses will be coordinated and partly tutored by Arché Professors and Professorial Fellows, Jessica Brown, Herman Cappelen, Brian Weatherson and Crispin Wright. Each Arché Professor will also give a special research seminar on related Arché projects.

The courses are organised as three independent streams of seminars: language, epistemology and methodology. Participants are, of course, free to attend all streams of seminars.

The Summer School is targeted at Ph.D. students and early career philosophers.

There are three registration categories:

  • Courses, accommodation and Summer School dinner (to be held on 5 July): £620
  • Courses and Summer School dinner: £480
  • Courses only: £450
We will limit attendance to 25 participants—on a first come, first served basis. Once this limit has been reached, further registration will not be possible.

Last day for registration is 19 May, 2008.
