We are delighted to announce the launch on 2nd March of the Ethnographic Encounters journal - an undergraduate e-journal which provides a platform for the work of the social anthropology students of the University of St Andrews

Anthropology, Art and Perception

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new MRes in Anthropology, Art and Perception. This MRes forms an important Masters’ training for postgraduate research into Anthropology of Art, Material Culture and Visual Expression.

Seeing in a Wider Sense

An exhibition at St Andrews Museum brings together distinguished Fife based artists Will Maclean and Marian Leven with two members of the Department of Social Anthropology, Dr Stephanie Bunn and Professor Peter Gow.

Woven Communities Project

A substantial research grant has been awarded by the AHRC to assist in the documentation of contemporary and historic basket weaving communities in Scotland.
