During the last 19 years, the University Library has benefited from over £400,000 generously donated by families for the purchase of books and periodicals via the Family Book Fund.

In recent years, with the advances in technology, the University Library has expanded its holdings from books and periodicals to also include electronic materials and subscriptions to online information services. Donations to the Family Book Fund are now being used to help provide important funding to purchase both paper and electronic resources. The support provided by the Family Book Fund is helping to ensure that the services offered to students in St Andrews continue to be at the forefront of Library provision in the UK.

If you would like to donate to this fund you can identify a subject area to which you would like to contribute or you can leave it to the discretion of the Library. Your support will be listed on an annual list of donors, displayed at the entrance to the University Library, unless you request that your donation be anonymous.
