Each year, as part of the general reunion programme, we hold special reunions for alumni by subject or interest.  These reunions give alumni a chance to mingle with old classmates, regardless of graduation year, tour new academic buildings, visit former professors and learn more about the recent developments in the Schools in which they spent their time.

This year, we are planning special reunions for graduates from the School of Biology and for all graduates who participated in any form of athletics while at St Andrews.  While the final schedule is still being confirmed, available details are below.  To ensure that you receive your invitation, please provide us with your most up-to-date contact details.

Biology

Description: A day of reunion activities in St Andrews for graduates with degrees or interests in the School of Biology, as part of the general 2012 Reunion activities. Events will include:

12.30-13.30pm Bell Pettigrew Museum
Light refreshments will be served. Students will then accompany you to the new Medical and Biological Sciences Building

2.00-3.30pm MBSB Lecture Theatre talks
Overview of Biology in 2012 by Professor Garry Taylor FRSE, Head of School of Biology
New Centre for Biological Diversity by Professor Anne Magurran FRSE
The Centre for Earth, Life and the Oceans by Professor Ian Boyd FRSE, Director of the Scottish Oceans Institute

3.30-4.30pm MBSB Café
Tea and scones with posters of current research by PhD students.  

4.30-5.30pm Tours
Tours of the new teaching labs and the BSRC research labs led by PhD students

7.00pm-late Gateway
Dinner followed by the Reunion Ball in Younger Hall

Where: Medical and Biological Sciences Building, and various venues around the university.  University accommodation with ensuite facilities and breakfast will also be available to book online.

Participation matches with alumni, staff and students

Three-course banquet, followed by ceilidh in Younger Hall
