Prospective undergraduate visits
The University of St Andrews encourages prospective students to book a place on a Visiting Day in order to appreciate the University's splendid location, the quality of the teaching and research on offer and the vibrant student social scene.
On any one of our Visiting Days you will be inspired and encouraged by what you hear, see and do.
Visiting Days are pre-arranged throughout the year on Wednesdays.
A typical Visiting Day commences at 9.15am and lasts until 4pm if you require to make any travel plans.

Alternative visiting arrangements
If you would like to take a self-guided tour of the University, you should download our Map of University (PDF, 204 KB) which highlights all the University-owned properties in the town of St Andrews. The Walking and cycling map (PDF, 86 KB) will then give you a suggested route to follow. As we are not a campus-based University, you can take a self-guided tour around our mediaeval and modern buildings and facilities at your leisure.
Our Prospective Students and Entry requirements pages will give you all the appropriate information and key dates on applying once you have taken in our great location. You can also watch the University video which will give you additional insights into Scotland's first university. Copies of our Undergraduate Prospectus will be available at MUSA, the new Museum for the University of St Andrews which is open at the weekends (check MUSA web for opening times) or you can download one to help us minimise our impact on the environment.
