Financial - How much will it cost?

DID YOU KNOW ... OVER HALF OF ALL EVENING DEGREE STUDENTS PAY NO TUITION FEES ...

  • Fees for students entering the programme in September 2011 and February 2012 are £303 for a 20-credit module.
  • If you are unemployed, or if you receive one or more specified State benefits, or you live on a low income, you can apply for a Fee Waiver which will pay all your tuition fees.
  • Students with a personal earned (or pension) income of £22,000 or less can apply for either a Part-time Fee Grant(PDF, 19 KB) or an Individual Learning Account (www.ilascotland.org.uk). If they are taking at least 40 credits (2 modules or more) in one academic year they can apply for the Part-time Fee Grant;  if taking fewer than 40 credits ( a single module) then it would be the ILA£200.

Students eligible for the Part-time Fee Grant or ILA200 will also be eligible for an automatic Part-time Scholarship from the University, meaning they will have no tuition fees to pay.  STOP PRESS: Part-time tuition fee update (Word, 16 KB)
  • There are many University scholarships to help students in financial need, including some special Evening Degree Scholarships
