Applying for the Evening Degree
How to apply
An Evening Degree Application Form (Word, 87 KB) is available to download or may be requested from the Evening Degree Co-ordinator (T: 01334 462203; E:evening@st-andrews.ac.uk). Please DO NOT use a UCAS application form.
Make sure your referee either provides a recommendation to accompany the application form or sends one directly to us.
Application deadlines
Students wishing to commence their studies in September should return their forms by 1 July in the year of entry. For Semester 2 (late January) entry, the date is 15 January. Places in modules are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so early application is advised.
Interviews
Whatever formal qualifications you are offering, you will be invited to an interview with one or more Admissions Officers.
In the interview, we will be looking for evidence that:
- You have the ability, energy and commitment to succeed at degree-level study.
- You are well-organised and you understand what is involved.
- You have, or are willing to acquire, the necessary skills in academic writing, reading and note-taking, word-processing and group discussion.
