International students
You probably have lots of questions now and we'd like to help you find the information you need. The information below should start to answer these questions and guide you through what you need to do next.
Your offer - what does it mean?
An unconditional offer
This means that all the academic conditions required for entry have already been satisfied and an offer of a place has been made.
A conditional offer
This means that the academic conditions required for entry have not yet been satisfied. We will hold a place for you at the university until we receive evidence that you have or have not met your conditions (e.g. by sending us proof of examination results). If you meet your conditions, we will confirm your place.
How to respond
UCAS applications
All decisions and offers are made through UCAS Track and you should use UCAS Track to respond to our offer of a place. Useful guides may be found at ucas.tv Follow the link then click on "students," then "reply to your offers."
Firm, insurance or decline?
We hope you will take up our offer of a place. You can hold up to two offers at UCAS, one being your first or firm choice and the other your second or insurance choice. Your insurance choice will often be an offer asking for lower grades in case you do not meet the grades required of your firm choice. If you wish to accept our offer you should indicate whether it is your firm or your insurance choice through UCAS Track.
You may wish to decline our offer, in which case you should make this response through UCAS Track.
You must respond to your UCAS offer in good time to ensure that your place is not declined by default. Please refer to UCAS Track for details.
Direct applications
You will have received an email outlining your offer from the international undergraduate team. You should respond to your offer by replying directly to this email, indicating whether or not you will be taking up your place.
