Asfari Foundation Scholarship

The University of St Andrews and the Asfari Foundation are pleased to announce scholarships for Masters study (MLitt or MSc degrees) in selected schools at the University. There are two scholarships available for qualified Syrian citizens and Palestinians legally resident in Syria for the academic year beginning in September 2013. The scholarship is funded by a grant from the Asfari Foundation and will be called the Asfari Scholarship.

The Asfari Foundation is a British-registered charity established by British-Syrian businessman Mr Ayman Asfari.

  • The School of Management (and MSc Management & IT in the School of Computer Science)
  • The School of Geography & Geosciences (MSc Sustainable Development)
  • The School of International Relations
  • The School of Psychology (MSc Adults with Learning Disabilities who have Significant and Complex Needs)
  • The School of Mathematics & Statistics (MSc Applied Statistics and Datamining)

Schools:

Management, Mathematics & Statistics, Geography & Geosciences, International Relations, Psychology

Additional Criteria:

The successful applicant will have achieved good marks in a related undergraduate degree course and will have achieved a grade of at least IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 100 IBT.

At time of application students will have to have up to date proof of having achieved these grades from a formal institutions. Syrians and Palestinian residents of Syria who have not taken these tests can do so at centres in Jordan and Lebanon.
