Financial Information
There are a number of fees that students at the University of St Andrews will be liable for upon matriculation.
Tuition fees
Each student admitted to the University is liable for his or her tuition fees and is responsible for ensuring that they are paid. Tuition fees can vary according to subject area. For example, the Faculty of Medicine charges a higher fee than the other Faculties.
A guide to all current tuition fees can be found at Annual tuition fees.
Payment of tuition fees
Tuition fees can be paid online in advance or upon matriculation in September. Other payment options, including an instalment plan, are described in more detail in the Money matters pages.
Other fees
There are a number of expenses and charges which are not covered by annual tuition fees. As well as the cost of accommodation and individual subsistence you should make allowance for books and equipment, field trips, stationery, photocopying and computer disposables (for personal computers), laboratory fees, travel and laundry.
A guide to the cost of living at St Andrews can be found in the Money Matters section of the website:

Financial Assistance
The offer of a university place to undertake postgraduate research or study does not carry with it the guarantee of financial support. A guide to possible funding options, including both fees and maintenance, can be found in the scholarships pages.
