An Erasmus Mundus programme is a co-operation and mobility programme in the field of higher education which promotes the European Union as a centre of excellence in learning around the world. It supports European top-quality Masters Courses and enhances the visibility and attractiveness of European higher education in third countries. Currently the programmes available at St Andrews through the following Schools are:-

School of Computer Science

Consortium: Maynooth, Ireland (Co-ordinator); Nancy, France; and St Andrews, Scotland.

School of Modern Languages

Erasmus Mundus Masters: Crossways in Cultural Narratives

All of the above 2 year programmes are delivered by a consortium of universities and require students to study in up to 3 different European universities in two or three different EU countries.  Scholarships of up to 21000 euros are awarded to suitable qualified third country nationals to enable them to undertake study, alongside European students. EU students are encouraged to apply, and although not eligible to receive Erasmus Mundus scholarships, may be entitled to mobility grants under the scheme.  Scholarships are available to both EU and non-EU students accepted on the MSc in Dependable Software Systems programme.
