Postgraduate Distance Learning Courses
- Adults with learning disabilities who have significant and complex needs
The School of Psychology provide a distance learning programme that is intended to be studied as a part time qualification, by staff providing services to people with learning disabilities.
- Adult Support, Protection and Safeguarding
The School of Psychology provide a distance learning programme to be studied as a part time qualification, by people working in a supervisory or professional positions in services to older people and adults with learning disabilities or mental health problems.
- Bible and the Contemporary World
The School of Divinity offers a part-time programme leading to a Postgraduate Diploma (18 months) or MLitt (24 months). A previous degree is required, but not necessarily in theology or biblical studies. Students are an international group, typically comprising professionals in fields as diverse as commerce, education, the arts, engineering and the ordained ministry. Attendance at a short residential study conference at the start of each module is required.
- Museum and Gallery Studies
The School of Art History provides a full-time or distance learning course for people working or intending to make a career in the museum and galleries sector. Leads to Certificate, Diploma or MLitt.
- Terrorism Studies
The Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) offers a part time programme leading to a Postgraduate Diploma or MLitt in Terrorism Studies. The programme is delivered entirely through e-learning and no residence is required. The Postgraduate Diploma can be taken over 2 - 4 years with those moving onto the MLitt taking another 6 - 18 months. As well as being open to those with an honours degree applications will also be considered from those who can demonstrate a suitable level of prior professional experience in a relevant field.
