Notification of potential construction activity on the Fife Park, David Russell Apartments and Fife Park Apartments site.
The University is currently considering the construction of an additional accommodation block between the existing Fife Park Apartments and Fife Park Houses. This is in response to increasing demand for University accommodation. This proposal is at an early stage of development but could result in construction activity starting at the end of 2012 and continuing through to late summer 2013, with the intention of having the apartment block ready for student’s arrival in September 2013.
Should the work proceed, the University’s contractual terms will seek to mitigate any disturbance to residents and will be carefully monitored. The design of similar buildings has incorporated elements that are pre-manufactured to reduce construction activity on site. However despite actions to mitigate the effect of construction activity, it will be evident to residents close to the building site.
The purpose of this communication is to alert you to the prospect of construction activity on the site which collectively accommodates Fife Park Houses, Fife Park and David Russell Apartments.
