Arrival procedures

Students can move in after 10 am on September 7th 2013. The entrance to St Salvator’s Hall is set back from the street, between College Gate and Younger Hall.

There will be a welcoming committee of student volunteers, Hall Committee, Wardens, and Residence Managers. Keys can be picked up from the Reception Desk in the front hall.

Notices will be present on the front door with contact information for late arrivals.  

Getting to St Andrews

St Andrews has direct bus connections from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. Leuchars rail station is located 5 miles away, and has regular bus connections to St Andrews. More information on how to get to St Andrews.

Parking

There is only one entrance to St Salvator’s Hall (North Street) where there is limited parking at the front of the building (8 spaces) and these spaces should only be used for drop offs. If students arrive early enough parking can be found on North Street and the Scores, all within short walking distance. There will be volunteers present to assest new arrivals and finding parking.

Refreshments

On the day of arrival, Light refreshments will be available in St Salvator’s Hall. Additionally, there are three restaurants within 3 minutes walking of the Hall (North Point Restaurant The Old Union Diner, and The Glass House, all on North Street). St Salvator’s Hall is also conveniently located close to the centre of town and dozens of shops, restaurants and grocery stores are available.
