Arrival procedures

Students can move in from 10am on the morning of Saturday 7th September. Keys can be collected on site from the office situated next to their accommodation in St Mary’s Place, St Andrews, Fife, KY16 9UY.

Students who expect to arrive outwith normal office hours of 9am to 5pm should contact accommodation@st-andrews.ac.uk so that alternative arrangements can be made for their keys to be collected from Out of Hours staff when they arrive in St. Andrews. Out of Hours staff are based in North Street at No. 93 and should they be out on site when a student arrives can be contacted on either +44 (0)1334 476161 or +44 (0)1334 463985.

Student support welcome helpers will be on site to issue keys, sign students in and provide directions, information and assistance where required.

Getting to St Andrews

St Andrews has direct bus connections from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. Leuchars rail station is located 5 miles away, and has regular bus connections to St Andrews. More information on how to get to St Andrews.

Parking

Student support welcome helpers will have a key fob for barrier control access to car park at Angus/Stanley Smith Houses, however there are only a limited number of car parking spaces available at this site. Metered on street parking is permissable closeby in St. Mary’s Place, Market Street, Greyfriars Gardens, South Street and North Street. There are also cars parks with metered parking nearby in Argyle Street and on Double Dykes Road.

Refreshments

Refreshments will be available on site for students and their parents during arrivals weekend. There are also a large number of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants located closeby.
