GRADskills RESEARCH FUTURES Conference
GRADskills organises an annual conference called "RESEARCH FUTURES" at the end of each academic year to which all PhD students, Postdocs & Teaching Fellows, and Supervisors at the University of St Andrews are invited. The aim of the conference is to give early stage researchers an insight into topics of direct relevance to their potential future career development and, as such, it includes presentations and information on research funding, research policies and research careers. Invited speakers come from the Research Councils, Learned Societies, UK and European funding bodies, government advisory bodies, careers consultancies, national training organisations, industry, commerce, publishers and the media, as well as academic authorities. If you are aiming to pursue a career as a researcher inside or outside academia, can you afford to miss this conference?
The GRADskills RESEARCH FUTURES 2009 conference was held on Friday 29th May, in the Gateway, University of St Andrews.
