Human Coat of Arms

On Wednesday November 7, 2012 nearly 1,000 students gathered in St Salvator’s Quadrangle today to bring the University’s coat of arms to life by organising themselves into an extraordinary, mass formation of the iconic coat of arms.

The world’s first human St Andrews coat of arms is the brain-child of the Chinese Hongpao (red gown) Student Society, led by Chang SHI (Wayne), working in collaboration with the student-led Your600th campaign as part of the University’s 600th Anniversary celebrations.
