Exclusive to students and staff – the trailer for the 600th Anniversary film Ever to Excel starring Sir Sean Connery is available for download. It can be used as an introduction to the anniversary at any events or meetings you have planned, and gives an overview of the history, tradition and ambition we have to celebrate.

Publicity

We can support your event with bespoke communication advice, help with news releases, media opportunities, and photos. To give your event the best chance of attracting attention, please involve Communications Manager Emma Shea (ex 2067) at the earliest possible point in your planning process.

Recording

Five Flip cams are available on loan from the Communications Office (ex 2167), allowing you to create short films capturing your event and interviews with speakers or attendees. These can help bring your event to life on social media platforms and add to the legacy of your event online.

For a more comprehensive, and professional audio or visual recording, Media Services (ex 2770) may be available to film or record.

Branding

We can provide pop-up branding to help dress your venue. The Communications Team are also commissioning large foam numerals – to mark 600 – which will be available on request for photo opportunities and events.

Literature

If appropriate to your audience, fold-out time-lines, a town map, factsheets, or campaign brochures are available on request. If your event is expected to attract a lot of media attendance, media packs can also be produced, tailored to your event.

Discounted facilities

Conference and Group Services have agreed to offer a special 15 per cent discount for staff or students who book any of the University’s state of the art conference facilities for a 600^th anniversary event.
